Downlands, at the end of a gravel drive, is a luxuriously appointed, two-bedroomed, first floor apartment overlooking Bude Nature Reserve, and is the ideal base for exploring the romantic and rugged North Devon and Cornwall coast.

Set in carefully tended private grounds, there are patios, lawns, trees and shrubs, all overlooking the private tennis court (for your exclusive use), and the Nature Reserve beyond.

The apartment sleeps four in double and twin bedded rooms.

The accommodation is of a very high standard - from luxury bathroom to state-of-the art kitchen, with everything from microwave to cafetière!

The apartment is well stocked with books and games, TV and DVD player, deckchairs, tennis rackets and balls, and even a pair of binoculars to make the most of those beautiful far-reaching views towards the Atlantic coast. We’ve tried to think of everything to make Downlands a home from home, but if there’s anything we’ve overlooked, do please let us know.

Bude Holiday Park, behind Downlands, offers a good range of facilities, including a shop, entertainment for children and adults, and a launderette, although the pool is for site residents only.

Within walking distance of golden sandy beaches, a golf course, pubs and shops, and a stone's throw away from riding stables and a welcoming campsite with many amenities, Downlands is truly the perfect location for your holiday or short break.


The South West coastal path is on the doorstep, and a little further afield finds a wealth of historic monuments, National Trust properties and theme parks galore. Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor are within easy reach by car, as are the pretty fishing towns of Padstow and Bideford.

All the original artwork on the walls of the apartment is available to purchase if you would like to take home a memento of your stay in Bude. Please call the owners for details.

Our prices include all bed linen. All you need to bring are towels and tea towels. We regret we cannot accommodate smokers or pets, and the apartment is reached by a short flight of steps.
